How it works
Paste your text and click a format; the box updates in place so you can apply several conversions, then copy the result.
- Title Case capitalises main words and keeps short words (a, and, of, the, to…) lowercase unless they start or end the text.
- Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence.
- camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE split text into words (including existing camelCase) and join them with the convention’s separator.
Example
“the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” becomes “The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over the Lazy Dog” in Title Case, theQuickBrownFoxJumpsOverTheLazyDog in camelCase and the-quick-brown-fox-jumps-over-the-lazy-dog in kebab-case.
Making a URL from a title? The slug generator also strips accents and symbols.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?
Title Case capitalises the main words of a heading (“How to Choose the Right Tool”). Sentence case capitalises only the first word and proper nouns (“How to choose the right tool”). Many style guides now prefer sentence case for headings because it is easier to read.
Which small words stay lowercase in Title Case?
We keep short articles, conjunctions and prepositions (a, an, the, and, but, or, for, of, on, in, to, at, by and similar) lowercase unless they are the first or last word. Style guides differ slightly, so check yours for formal publishing.
What are camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case used for?
They are naming conventions in programming and on the web. camelCase and PascalCase are common for variables and classes, snake_case in Python and databases, kebab-case in URLs and CSS class names.
