Create a professional invoice or tax invoice with VAT, then download it as a PDF or print it.
Quote Generator
Create a quotation with line items, VAT and validity date, and download it as a PDF.
Your quote is built in your browser — nothing is uploaded
How it works
- Add your business and client details, a quote number and a “valid until” date.
- List what you are quoting for. Each line = quantity × unit price.
- VAT (default 15%, editable) is added to the subtotal if “Charge VAT” is ticked: total = subtotal × (1 + rate ÷ 100).
- Add payment terms (such as a deposit) and notes about what is included, then download the PDF. The quote includes an acceptance line for the client to sign.
Example
A plumber quotes 6 hours of labour at R650 (R3,900) plus parts of R1,240. Subtotal R5,140; VAT R771; total R5,911, valid for 14 days, with “50% deposit on acceptance” in the payment terms.
Not sure what to charge per hour? Work it out with the hourly rate calculator or the pricing calculator.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a quote and an invoice?
A quote (quotation) is an offer: it tells the client what you will charge before work starts and is usually valid for a limited time. An invoice is a request for payment for work done or goods supplied.
How long should a quote be valid?
Commonly 14 to 30 days, but it depends on how quickly your costs change. Set the “Valid until” date so the client knows when your prices may change.
Can I turn this quote into an invoice?
Yes. Click “Save as file”, then open that file in the Invoice Generator — the line items and client details carry across. Change the number and dates before sending.
Is my quote stored online?
No. It is created in your browser. If you leave “Keep a draft” ticked, it is saved in this browser’s local storage only.
